In Papua New Guinea, a former addict tells about Christ

Raymond

Raymond was a drug addict in the city of Mount Hagen, Papua New Guinea. On a night when EHC’s national director for Papua New Guinea was preaching in a city crusade, Raymond was convicted of his sin and gave his life to Christ. Since then, he has been delivered of his drug addiction! Discipled by EHC workers, he is serving as an EHC volunteer. “My life had no purpose when I was into drugs,” he says. “Now that I have Christ in my life, I have something to live for. I know God can use me to reach out to those people like me who have become victims of drug addiction.”

Guerrilla captors hear the Word of God

In Latin America, a guerrilla force of 50 men captured an EHC trainer and his team who were evangelizing and teaching people in a small river community. The team members realized they might die at the hands of these men, so they proceeded to preach to them. Hearing the Word of God, many of the guerrillas began crying. Hours later, the guerrilla commander released the entire EHC team! He promised they would not be bothered again as they continued their home-home ministry.

“Not skipping any” in a Lesotho villageLesotho

“When your EHC team visited my house, it was the first time I had ever heard about Jesus. To me it was like a dream to hear this Gospel about eternal life. I was so amazed that you would go to each house, not skipping any, and take time as you did to pray for each person! I will never forget the free gift you gave me: the booklet about knowing God and His only Son Jesus Christ. I really thank God for sending His messengers to my home. Now I am a new creation.”—P.M., Lesotho, Africa
