International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church November 9th

Harvest Partner, News — November 7, 2014

Pray for the persecuted churchMore than 200 million people worldwide suffer for their faith in Christ. Their cry continues to be, “Pray for us.” EHC is carefully at work in many of the nations where Christians endure the most severe persecution for their faith in Christ. We are deeply grateful to the ministry of Open Doors for their continuing work to help inform the Church at large about this urgent prayer need and we pray for the Lord’s blessing as they serve persecuted Christians worldwide.

Praying for the Persecuted Church.

Pray for Christians who are PERSECUTED…

…That in the midst of severe brutality, torture, imprisonment and constant threats, the Lord’s presence would refresh and sustain them; and that, in His grace, the Lord will help them forgive those who persecute them.

EPHESIANS 6:10-19; LUKE 23:34

Pray for the LABOURERS…

…That the Lord will protect their lives and deliver them from danger and adversity as they courageously share the Gospel; and that the Lord would meet all their needs, provide care for them and help for their difficult work.

Pray for the PERSECUTORS…

…That the Lord would miraculously reveal Himself to them; and that they would be changed by the transforming grace of God.

Romans 12:14, 17, 19

“We want that”

Their heartache had festered into bitterness. “We don’t need any god! We’ve given up on God,” they shouted when EHC workers in Sri Lanka visited their dilapidated home. “God never helped us!” they cried, clearly angered by the mention of Him. The pioneer missionaries listened patiently, waiting for the elderly couple’s anger to subside.  For… Read More…

Signs and Signals

Signs and signals are important. In fact they can be lifesavers! Traffic signals, warning signs near high voltage towers or a recurring sharp pain are signs and signals that alert us to something we need to be aware of – something that is critically important.
